Barium swallowing A test where the patient swallows a barium sulfate mixture that shows up on x-ray. It is used to examine the lumen of the esophagus, stomach, and intestines. X-ray room

Biopsy - sampling A surgical procedure where a piece of tissue (e.g. lung, liver, intestine) is taken out for further testing. Stat lab Glassware + Microscope

Gonioscopy" Gonioscopy is an eye examination used to evaluate the drainage system of the eye.

Oral cavity inspection" Examination and visual inspection of the patient's oral cavity. Any office / diagnostic unit

Interview" Interviewing the patient to get as much information as possible about his medical condition. Any office / diagnostic unit
Serologic sampling" Drawing of a blood sample for serologic tests. Stat Lab Medical centrifuge +RIA
