Gastritis Gastritis is an inflammation or erosion of the stomach's lining. It is caused by: bad nutrition, excessive alcohol use, or excessive use of some medications. Treatment consists of proton pump inhibitors and discontinuation of alcohol or drugs that cause the symptoms. | ||||
